Office of the Associate Dean

The Office of the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies supports undergraduate students in the School of Social Sciences. The office serves as a central resource, connecting students with faculty, academic departments, and campus offices that provide additional services. Its mission is to help students succeed academically and prepare for their post-graduation goals.

The office provides guidance and support in a variety of areas, including:

Academic planning and advising
Career exploration and planning
Internships and research opportunities
Student employment
School policies and academic requirements
Outreach programs and student organizations

The Office of the Associate Dean works closely with Undergraduate Student Affairs, which provides comprehensive academic advising, and the Social Science Academic Resource Center, which offers career and graduate school planning, internship resources, and professional development support.

Undergraduate Student Affairs Office

The School of Social Sciences Undergraduate Student Affairs Office (SSUSA) provides a full range of academic advising services to our undergraduate students. Our staff and peer academic advisors are an essential part of the School of Social Sciences. They provide assistance to help undergraduate students meet their administrative and academic goals. Our friendly team is always ready to assist you with any questions regarding your academic career at UC Irvine. Students are not assigned to specific academic advisors, so you are free to reach out to any advisor in SSUSA!
